Who is Jesus Christ? 

Why is He the only Way of Salvation? What makes Him different from all others? Why Must We Believe ON Him alone? 

 

The Central Message of the Bible is to know and believe that Jesus is Christ and the Son of God. To believe that Jesus Christ is our only Way of Salvation and Forgiveness of Sin. 

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:31

 

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  John 3:15-17

 

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST? WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT JESUS CHRIST?

Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is God-He is the Creator of All

 

  • Jesus Christ is named the Word, because He spoke the World and life into existence.

 

  • Notice that He was existent before creation, because He is the Creator. He is with God and He is called God because He is God.

 

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1-3

 

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:13

 

And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Ephesians 3:9

 

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Jesus Christ is God- Who Came to Earth in the Flesh.

 

  • He is 100% God and was 100% human man without any sin!

 

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16

 

  • Jesus Christ who is THE WORD, took upon Himself human flesh. He did this so that he could dwell with us, perfectly 100% obey the law of God, and then die in our place and take the punishment for our sins that we deserve.

 

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

 

 

  • God is a spirit. You can’t see a spirit, a spirit can’t be killed, a spirit does not have a body. God revealed Himself to Humanity through the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God clothed in Human Flesh. Jesus Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15

 

 

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.  1 Timothy 2:5-6

 

Jesus Christ is God. He claimed He is God and He said that He came from God. He said that He is the ONLY WAY to God.

 

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  John 14:6

 

Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one. John 10:24-30

 

 

               

Jesus Christ’s Good News to You in 5 Minutes

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

 

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 4:10, 12

 

 

Jesus Christ is God- He provides our ONLY way of salvation and forgiveness of sin!

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1 Peter 3:18

 

  • The final words of Jesus Christ on the cross were “It is Finished”.  Jesus said these words at the end of His time of suffering on the cross. He has been beat, nailed to the cross, and suffered much pain, shame, and mockery. Our sin was placed on Him and so God the Father forsook Him. Jesus Christ suffered our Hell on the cross that day. 

 

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. John 19:28-30

 

  • He cried It is Finished! Why did He say this? What was He Finished with? – Jesus Christ came to make it possible for man to be at peace with God. Everything that was necessary to pay for mankind’s sin was finished! What was required by God to make it possible for mankind to be saved was finished! The work that Christ did on the cross was all that was necessary. 

 

  • Nothing more is needed for us to add to what Christ did for us. We can’t add religious works, our good life, or anything else because it is not needed and won’t help in forgiving our sin. Jesus Christ said, “It is Finished!”

 

  • We need to simply believe and trust Jesus Christ. Simply ask Him to save us and believe that He is our only way!

 

  • We can have our sinful records exchanged for the pure righteousness of God. Our sinful records were placed on Christ and by faith in Him, we can be given the clean record of Christ Himself. Christ died for us, in our place, so that we could have the ability to live forever with Him in Heaven.

 

 

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

 

  • In ancient days, criminals would have their charges posted outside of their jail cell for all to see. Christ entered and took yours and my list of charges (our sins), and He nailed them to His cross. In other words, He said, “I am now guilty of these things that you have done, and now if you accept what I have done for you, you are as innocent as me.”

 

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Colossians 2:13-14

 

 

Jesus Christ Rose from the Dead

 

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.                  1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-8

 

 

And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.  Luke 24:36-40

 

 

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:24-29

 

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  Matthew 28:5-6

 

 Jesus Christ is one day Coming in the Clouds for His believers. After that there will be 7 years of absolute horror on this earth. It truly will be apocalyptic. After these 7 years, Jesus Christ will return to make war with the Anti-Christ and all that followed him. After this war, Jesus Christ will rule for ever and ever.

 

Every knee will bow before Christ-and confess that He is LORD!

Will you bow now and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour?  Or, will you reject Him as your Saviour?

 

If you reject Him, you will still bow before Jesus Christ-WITH HIM AS YOUR JUDGE. Then there will be no more opportunity for forgiveness, mercy, and love-

 

He will condemn all people who rejected His offer of forgiveness to an eternity in Hell for their sin.   

Jesus Christ is Coming Again. He is coming to rule as King of Kings forever!

  • Someday, possibly very soon, Jesus Christ is going to snatch away His Believers to be with Him forever.
  • Unbelievers will be left behind to go through a 7-year period of Worldwide Tribulation and anguish.

 

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  1 Thessalonians 4:14-17

 

  • At the end of the 7 year worldwide Tribulation, Jesus Christ will return to Earth the second time. He will come as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
  • All people will then realize the He is the True and Living God. All people will ultimately bow their knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

 

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Philippians 2:8-11

 

 

And I saw heaven opened,  and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.  Revelation 19:11-16

Will You Believe On Jesus Christ Today?

 

 

1. Admit that You are a Sinner

 

We must admit that our true condition. That condition is that we are sinners against a Holy God. We have broken His law and we deserve punishment in Hell. No religious rituals, no good deeds, church attendance, giving money to the poor, being a good person, or any other “good work” can wash our sin away. God says that soul that sins will die. WE ARE SINNERS 

 

 

 

2. Believe on Jesus Christ 

Our ONLY Hope is Jesus Christ. He is the ONLY WAY, THE ONLY TRUTH, AND the ONLY WAY to obtain Eternal life. We must believe ON Jesus Christ as our only way to have forgiveness of sin. Jesus Christ, who is God, died on the cross for our sin. He paid our penalty. He was buried and He rose again. He did everything necessary to pay for our sin. Nothing more is needed for us to do. All we must do is Believe on Christ. We must repent of our trusting in ourselves and turn to a complete trust in Jesus Christ alone.

 

 

 

3. Confess and Accept

We need to confess to God that we are in need. We need to confess that we are sinners- who are on our way to Hell. We need to confess that we believe that Jesus Christ is God, that Jesus Christ is our only way to be saved from Hell. We need to confess that we believe Jesus Christ died on the cross, personally for us. We need to confess that we believe He died for our sin. We need to confess that we believe He rose from the dead. We need to ask Him to forgive us, to cleanse us, and to save us. HE IS OFFERING A FREE GIFT OF SALVATION.
